Syko · syko.takeos.fr
Syko is a free online card game, published by a private individual on a personal, non-commercial basis. The site is hosted by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France (www.ovh.com).
For any question about this text or about your data, write to contact@takeos.fr. You can also use the “A bug, an idea?” button in the game, which goes straight to the publisher.
If you play as a guest, no account is created. Only a technical identifier is kept in your browser to recognise you from one game to the next. Nothing is linked to your identity.
If you sign in with your Google account, the site records:
The site has no access to your contacts, your files, or anything else in your Google account.
If you link your Discord account (from the Syko Discord server), the site also records that Discord account's identifier and name, to give you the roles that match your level on the server. You can undo the link at any time: in the game, Profile › Settings, or with the /delier command on Discord.
When a technical error happens in the game, your browser sends the server a short report to help fix it: the error message, the page concerned, the game version, your browser family (for example “Chrome 148”) and your type of device. This report contains neither your username, nor your account, nor your IP address, and it is deleted after 30 days.
There is no advertising, no advertising tracker and no selling of data. Nothing is passed on to a third party, apart from Google at the moment you choose to sign in with your account, and Discord if you link your account there: it is then told which roles to give you on the Syko server.
The site uses no advertising cookies. It keeps a few pieces of information in your browser's local storage, all essential to the game: your session identifier, your username and avatar, your choice of light or dark theme, your language, and the state of the tutorial.
Clearing the site's data in your browser erases all of that. Your account itself stays on the server until you ask for it to be deleted.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. An account left inactive for more than three years may be deleted without notice, along with everything it contains.
Technical backups of the database are kept for a few weeks, long enough to recover from a failure. Technical error reports are deleted after 30 days.
Delete your account, yourself and right away: in the game, Profile tab, then Settings, “Delete my account” row. You type your username to confirm, and everything is erased within a second: account, email address, coins, purchases, statistics, achievements, friendships and messages. It is final; there is no recycle bin.
Access your data: in the game, Profile tab, then Settings, “My data” row, Download button. You get a file containing everything the database holds about you: your account, your games, your purchases, your achievements, your friendships, your messages and the chests you opened. The sign-in token is left out: it is a technical secret, not personal data.
To correct a piece of data, or if you can no longer sign in and want to act on your account, write to the address above from your account's email address.
The game's coins and trophies have no monetary value. They cannot be bought with real money, resold or refunded. Everything is earned by playing.
Playing Syko means accepting these few rules. They fit in a handful of lines because this is a free game, not a banking service.
This page is a translation provided for convenience; if the two differ, the French version prevails.
